- April 8, 2015: The APO has once again been selected to receieve a Stewart's Shops Holiday Match grant for $750. This money will be used to purchase materials and equipment for SUN-day on June 21st, our annual family event celebrating the sun. - January 28, 2015: A group of Boy Scout Troop Leaders visited the APO on January 23rd as part of their leadership training. Marc Staves and Gordie Duval did some observing with the group, viewing the Orion nebula, the Pleiades, Jupiter, and the Andromeda galaxy. Marc, being an eagle scout himself, noted to the group that an eagle scout's project is really a lifetime effort, referring to the observatory as his latest endeavor. There was a lot of interest among the scout masters regarding future activities we could provide for scout troops. They were very appreciative of the work that was being done in Tupper Lake and surrounding areas.
